New Delhi: Opposition parties are expected to keep protesting in Parliament against the suspension of the twelve MPs. For disorderly behaviour during the previous session, the MPs were suspended for the remainder of the Winter Session. The Parliament has failed to do any business in the current session, with the exception of approving the Farm Laws Repeal Bill and a few others, due to the Opposition's constant clamour over a variety of subjects.
The government will attempt to pass bills that have already been introduced in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. After a debate, the 'High Court and Supreme Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Amendment Bill, 2021' proposed by Law Minister Kiren Rijiju last week is expected to pass in the Lower House.
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Amendment) Bill 2021, which amends the 1998 law to create a Council to coordinate activities among the institutes and ensure the development of pharmaceutical education and research standards, was passed by the Lok Sabha earlier on Monday. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, also briefed the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on the incident of firing in Nagaland's Mon area, which resulted in the deaths of over a dozen civilians.
