New Delhi: The country's capital Delhi is likely to experience severe cold this year. The weather was the coldest last Saturday. It recorded an average maximum temperature of 17.8 degrees Celsius throughout the day. The minimum temperature was 6 degrees Celsius. You all must be aware that the plains are experiencing severe cold due to continuous snowfall (SnowFall) in the mountains at present. On the other hand, it is also being said that cold winds are expected in Delhi for the next few days. The humidity was recorded at 94 during the day. Further, the air quality index (AQI) has improved marginally due to an increase in wind speed but it was 291 in the poor category. According to the met department, the cold wave conditions have intensified after a snowfall in the mountains.

Met department says that today on 19th and 20th December, there will be cold winds, which will lead to severe cold in the morning and evening. As a result, the temperature will remain low with fog in the morning. The weather will be clear after the day is sunny. On the other hand, according to Safar, an air quality monitoring agency of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, the Air Quality Index (AQI) will remain in the poor category on December 19 as the wind speed improves, but once again from December 20, it is expected to go back to a very poor category. As a result, it will remain more than 400 in many places.

Delhi is going to break the record for the coldest day of this month, December, so far. The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.3 degrees Celsius a day earlier. The Met department has predicted severe cold wave conditions in north India, including Delhi-NCR, for 3 months from December to February.
