In order to provide financial assistance to the poor in this difficult time of lockdown, this first instalment is falling in the Jan Dhan account of women as announced in the Prime Minister's Poor Welfare Package. It was announced by the government that Rs 500 per month will be added to all women Jan Dhan accounts for three months. Significantly, the government has implemented a 21-day lockdown across the country from March 25 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.
