WMD bill to pass by Rajya Sabha today

The Rajya Sabha is set to pass the Weapons of Mass Destruction and Their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Amendment Bill, 2022 on Tuesday amid disruptions.

Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, moved the bill to be considered on July 19, as passed by the Lok Sabha. On Monday, while members of the BJP continued to debate the measure amid sloganeering from opposition members, the Chair stated that the minister's remark on the bill, as well as its deliberation and passage, would take place on Tuesday.

Dola Sen and Hardwar Dubey will present the Joint Committee on Profitable Offices' fifth, sixth, and seventh reports.

Dr. Sumer Singh Solanki and Kamakhya Prasad Tasa will lay the fifteenth report of the Committee on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST)  on 'Role of autonomous bodies, Public Enterprises, educational Institutions including Central Universities, Engineering Colleges, IITs, IIMs, Medical Institutes including AIIMS in socio-economic development of SC/STs with special reference to the implementation of reservation policy in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)'.

G.V.L. Narasimha and Dr. Amar Patnaik will present the 46th report of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, titled "Strengthening Credit Flows to the MSME Sector."
