Bangalore: A 31-year-old woman who consumed poison in front of Union Parliamentary Minister Prahlad Joshi's residence has died while undergoing treatment at a hospital. Sridevi Veerappa Kannar, a woman, consumed the toxic substance in front of Union Minister Prahlad Joshi's house in Hubli (Karnataka) on April 6. But now the woman has succumbed to her injuries during treatment at KIMS hospital.

In fact, the case was that the woman's house collapsed during the natural disaster, after which she was paid Rs. 50,000 as compensation. But the woman said that 50,000 rupees were too low to build a house, so she should be given more financial assistance. But when she was nowhere to be heard, the woman went in front of the Union minister's house and consumed poison.

In her suicide note, the woman wrote, "I went to meet Prahlad Joshi, he asked me to meet an MLA. I went to meet MLA, but I didn't find a solution. I also wrote a mail to him. Our lives have been in problems for 18 months. Our living house is broken. We have to go out every day to take a bath. That is why I am consuming poison in front of your (Prahlad Joshi) house.'' The Union Minister has also regretted the incident and said that no one should take such extreme steps, women's compensation was ordered, but it takes some time.
