Maharashtra: Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Dhananjay Munde has been in discussions for quite some time. He was accused of rape earlier. According to the reports, the Mumbai woman, who charged, has withdrawn her complaint lodged with the police. An official has given a briefing today. On the issue, a police official said, "The woman has asked the investigating officer to withdraw her complaint against Munde, though the woman did not say what was the reason behind her decision."
He also said, "The police has asked the complainant woman to give a notary certified affidavit in this regard." Earlier, the woman had accused social Justice Minister Munde (45) of raping and sexually assaulting her on the pretext of marriage in 2006. The woman had lodged a complaint with the police on 11th January last.
After receiving the complaint, the police started investigating the case and the woman also went to the Oshiwara police station to file her statement. After all this, the minister admitted that he had links with the woman's sister and she had two children. The woman has now withdrawn her complaint. The woman accused of raping Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Dhananjay Munde in the case has also been harassing her for the past several years.
