Periods occurring every month for women are extremely painful. Normally women have to go through this for 2 to 7 days. Initially, even the doctors could not believe about this after listening to Ronnie's words. They asked her in the emergency room, 'Did you really bleed as much as you're saying?' According to a report received, Ronnie told that she did not have periods on time for many years, then in the year 2015, PCOS happened. Although she always used to bleed a lot during periods, but one day in 2018 she got up from her desk and found herself covered in blood.

In PCOS, due to hormone imbalance, the lining of the uterus becomes thick, during which there are heavy periods for a long time. Ronnie said that when she walked from her bathroom to her desk, she started bleeding. After that, she came home from work and used up a whole box of tampons and a whole packet of pads in an hour. She started using heating pads to reduce the pain but the bleeding couldn't stop. Thereafter, she was left with no option but to go to the hospital. Ronnie got relief after taking various measures in the hospital. Then the doctor asked her the same question, are you really bleeding so much? Responding to this, she said, 'Being a black woman, doctors do not believe me.' She was afraid to go home so she had to stay in the hospital for two weeks. Due to this, Ronnie had several panic attacks. Her heart rate and blood pressure also increased. She also needed a blood transfusion. She later had to undergo a surgical procedure.
