Women say that due to periods, women are unable to do farming in those days, due to which they got their womb removed.

According to sources, it is reported that due to financial constraints, women there used to go to harvest in the sugarcane field. The women say that their contractor deducts money if they do not come to work during the period. Therefore, they were forced to remove their womb.

People close to saying that this business of removing the womb was going on for a long time. The doctors here remove the womb of women in the greed of money. Doctors of the same district say that due to labouring, women are unable to take care of their cleanliness, due to which they have to face diseases of the uterus.

Beed district social worker Manisha Tokle said, "Many women use uterus to cause urine infection during periods, which also take the form of cancer after some time. When women reach the hospital for treatment of cancer, instead of treating the disease with greed for money, some doctors here show the fear of death from cancer and the women remove the uterus. The women are forced to remove her uterus". At present, after the news of extracting the womb, the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) is investigating the incident and many NGOs are also trying to stop the mistreatment of women.
