JAIPUR:: At the second general meeting of the Rajasthan State Social Welfare Board, held on Friday, it was suggested that women be allowed to work from home home during menstruation.
The start of different welfare schemes like Good Touch-Bad Touch workshop, provision of work from home during women's menstruation, old age home operation, family counselling centre, Yashoda Palna Greh Yojana, International Language Teaching Centre, etc were also discussed.
It was planned to to send various proposals for establishment, etc to the state government for approval through the administrative department.
The board was established, according to board chair Archana Sharma, to oversee various public welfare programmes in the state, determine effective policies for the welfare and upliftment of women and children, and effectively carry out numerous programmes for their social welfare. The Board has occasionally offered its recommendations in this area as well.
"All institutions and schools operated by the state will host awareness programmes at the state, district, and panchayat samiti levels where they will be informed about good touch-bad touch and other welfare programmes in an effort to reduce the rising number of sexual crimes against minors. It will be made known." The board president said, there is a significant rise in family tensions as a result of ongoing social changes, which is also having an impact on marriages. Keeping these situations in view, there is a need to set up family counselling centres. Where family counselling should be done and propoer legal assistance should also be provided if required.
