DOHA: The World Athletics Championships is going on Qatar's capital Doha. Every day, some old record is being broken and a new one is being created. In this championship, Salwa Eid Naser of Bahrain performed historically. Salwa made history by becoming the first Asian athlete to win the women's 400-meter race, surprising Olympique champion Shauné Miller Uibo. 21-year-old Salwa, born in Nigeria, completed this race in 48.14 seconds. This is the third-fastest time in history.

Olympic champion Miller Uibo captured the silver medal with a time of 48.37 seconds. This is the Bahamas' first defeat in two years by Miller. Naser demolished the previous 34-year record in the 400-meter race. She is the first female athlete since 1985 to have such a fast time. At the end of the race, Salwa herself could not believe her performance and sat down with both her hands on her mouth.

Later she said, 'I was just hoping for something good, but now I am the world champion. It is amazing to beat Miller. I have thanked her because it was not possible to get such a fast part without her". There has been a fierce rivalry between the two even earlier. In the races held in 2017 and 2018, Miller was first and Naser was second.
