What to eat before donating blood – If you are about to donate blood, keep yourself hydrated before and after donating. Drink plenty of water, that's because half of the blood is made up of water. Consume more iron, because there may be a lack of iron in the body after giving blood. In fact, the iron level in the body can be reduced and you can feel tired.
- If there are blood donors, then you can eat iron-rich foods like chicken, egg, fish, sea fish such as tuna, shrimp, green leafy vegetables, sweet potatoes, beans, beet greens, broccoli, greens, kale, etc.
- Some fruits and cereals are rich in iron, such as whole-wheat bread, white bread, oats, wheat, white bread, cereals, pulses, corn, etc., eat a thing or two. Fruits contain a lot of iron in melons, watermelons, dates, figs, dry apricots, strawberries, dried peaches, raisins, etc. And in such a situation, these grains and fruits must be consumed before donating blood.

Also, stop the intake of red wine, chocolate, and aspirin 24 to 48 hours in advance.
What to eat after donating blood- After donating blood, you will be given a light breakfast and something to drink. Because it will help stabilize your blood sugar and fluid levels. With this, drink an extra 4 cups of water in the next 24 hours to make it back to the body by removing your fluids deficiency, but avoid consuming alcohol.
