SHIMLA: Today, on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, who serves as the President of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Branch, inaugurated a Voluntary Blood Donation Drive at the historic Ridge Maidan in Shimla. 

This event took place on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day 2023,being celebrated today, June 14, 2023. During the event, Governor Shukla took the opportunity to personally engage with the blood donors and commend them for their compassionate efforts. He expressed his gratitude to the voluntary blood donors, acknowledging their continuous and invaluable contributions in saving precious lives.

The Governor emphasized the significance of blood donation and highlighted the active role played by various branches of the State Red Cross in organizing such camps. These initiatives not only provide opportunities for blood donation but also aim to raise awareness about its importance among the general public.

Governor Shukla emphasized that donating blood is a meaningful act of serving humanity. He expressed his joy at witnessing a significant number of army personnel participating in the blood donation drive. The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Kimi Sood, Honorary Secretary of the State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Branch, Gagandeep from Club Mahindra, and other distinguished individuals.
