Social Justice Day is celebrated around the world on 20 February with great pomp. This day is celebrated with different themes in mind. It is clear from the name itself that this day is celebrated to promote efforts to tackle various social issues like a boycott, unemployment, and poverty. This time too, all these issues will be discussed on this day.

On Social Justice Day, various organizations like United Nations and International Labor Organization issue an appeal to the people for social justice. The United Nations believes that social justice is an underlying principle for prosperous and peaceful coexistence between countries. This social justice means forgetting the sense of gender, age, religion, disability, and culture and walking in the cause of equal society and establishing equal society.

Social Justice Day started in the year 2007. It was started 12 years ago by the United Nations General Assembly where it was announced to hold the Global Social Justice Development Conference and call for the 24th General Assembly session. In this, it was announced that from now on every year on 20 February, World Justice Day will be celebrated. Every year, various functions and activities are organized on this day.
