The next season of the World Test Championship will now begin with a five-match Test series between India and England starting august. In the next two years, England are set to play the most matches under the World Test Championships. England are scheduled to play 22 matches in the World Test Championships, while team India is second, to take on 6 teams in 19 matches. Australia is at third, clashing with 6 teams in the 18-match series. It will also play a five-match series, which will be an Ashes series against England. India will also play a five-match series in which England will face them. England will thus play two series five matches each.
A total of 9 teams are scheduled to participate in the next season of WTC, including New Zealand, India, England, Australia, West Indies, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Bangladesh. The team is set to get 16 points when they win the match, while both the teams will get 4 points each in case the match is drawn.
