Every year on November 19th, World Toilet Day is celebrated. In 2001, the World Toilet Organization established World Toilet Day. The United Nations General Assembly declared World Toilet Day in 2013. This day motivates everyone to take on the worldwide problem of pollution. Defecation in the open invites sickness. Women and children are the ones that suffer the most from open defecation. In such situation, we must pay close attention to all of these factors. More than half of the world's population, particularly in India, is forced to live without toilets, according to the United Nations.

History of World Toilet Day:-

The beginning of 'World Toilet Day' are not well known. The World Toilet Organization was the first to promote it in 2001. In 2013, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution commemorating World Toilet Day. The World Toilet Organization, which is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving sanitation and toilet conditions across the world.

Purpose of celebrating 'World Toilet Day':-

Even today billions of people throughout the world do not use toilets or do not have access to them. The purpose and message of this day is to offer toilet facilities to every human on the planet by 2030. This is also one of the United Nations' six Sustainable Development Goals.
