The luxurious super sports car Chiron of luxury vehicle manufacturer Bugatti has set a new world record of speed. The modified Bugatti Chiron has recorded the world's fastest car by running at a speed of 490.48 km per hour. In addition, it has become the world's first hypercar, which has a speed of more than 480 kilometres (300 miles) per hour. Bugatti Chiron has done this feat in Germany.

This record is made by the modified model and not the standard model of Bugatti Chiron. For this, many changes have been made in the car. This special model of Chiron is 25 cm longer than the standard model. The cross-section has been reduced to improve aerodynamics at its rear. A new exhaust setup has been given in the modified Chiron. Apart from these, there have been many other changes in the car, so that it can increase its speed.
The second i.e. passenger seat of this 2-seater hypercar has been removed. The computer system has been given in its place. Apart from this, a new safety seat has been installed for the driver. Further arrangements have been made for the safety of the same driver. This special Bugatti Chiron, which makes the record, has an 8.0-litre, quad-turbo, W16 engine. This engine generates power of 1,578 bhp. Its power is about 100 bhp more than the standard Chiron. However, the all-wheel-drive system and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission provided in it are the same as the standard model.
