World's first phase3 clinical trial for covid19 drug commences in UAE

Covid-19 has created a furore in the world. Every day, the number of patients infected with coronavirus are increasing every day. During this period, Phase-3 clinical trial of the world's first corona vaccine has started in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The world is searching for medicine for the treatment of corona. For the first time, a Phase-3 clinical trial for Corona drug has started in the UAE. The trial has been initiated in partnership with leading pharmaceutical manufacturer Sinopharm in China and Dubai-based G42 Healthcare.

According to media reports, the first batch of 15,000 registered volunteers, including UAE citizens and labourers, were administered the medicine at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, a treatment centre in Abu Dhabi, on Thursday. Beijing-based pharmaceutical expert Tao Lina told the media that clinical examination is usually quick to see the effects of the drug. According to a statement issued by G42, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Hameed, chairman of the UAE Department of Health, was among the first to participate in the drug trial. Experts said that the test has given confidence to the health officials of the UAE on vaccines developed through China. Hopefully, the corona vaccine will be discovered soon.
