New Delhi: The Delhi Police today (May 12, 2023) recorded the statement of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh in connection with the sexual harassment case lodged by the wrestlers. Delhi Police said that Braj Bhushan Singh has categorically denied all the allegations leveled against him.

Along with WFI Chief Braj Bhushan, statements of Wrestling Federation Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar were also recorded. Vinod Tomar is also an accused in this case. Statements have been recorded twice in two cases registered against Braj Bhushan by the Delhi Police. However, more statements are yet to be recorded. At the same time, the police have also asked for some documents from him. Let us inform that, along with the Delhi Police, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) will also question Braj Bhushan in this matter. A SIT consisting of 6 policemen has also been constituted to investigate the matter, which includes 4 women policemen. Along with this, a team of 10 police personnel has also been formed under the supervision of a woman DCP.

Delhi Police has told that on the complaint of wrestlers, teams of Delhi Police had also gone to Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Haryana and collected evidence there. Delhi Police said that wherever allegations have been made outside the country, Delhi Police is in touch with the concerned agencies to investigate them.
