Roman Rance becomes the new Universal winner at the main event of WWE Payback. Roman Rance pinned Bron Strowman with a spire and after 2 years he won the crown of the Universal Championship. Roman Rance had a different style in this competition and came out in the ring with a very aggressive attitude.

No Holds Barred Triple Threat competed for the Universal Championship. However, Roman Rance was not there at the beginning of the match, and he did not sign the contract either.
