Beijing: The Chinese government is busy preparing a big plan regarding Muslims in the country. Under this plan, preparations have started for Sinicisation of Muslims in Xinjiang province of China. Ma Xingrui, a senior official of the Communist Party of China, has said about Xi Jinping's plan that Sinicization of Islam is important in Muslim-dominated Xinjiang.

On the sidelines of China's annual parliamentary session in Beijing, regional party chief Xingrui said everyone knows that Islam needs to be Sinicized in Xinjiang, which is an inevitable trend.

'Will not allow Indian soldiers to stay in Maldives even in plain clothes', Muizzju again increased diplomatic tension. This statement of Shingrui has come 6 months after the statement of Chinese President Xi Jinping, where he promoted Sinicization of Islam in the country. There is also mention of giving. Xingrui has said that everyone knows that there is a need for Sinicization of Islam in Xinjiang.

What is Sinicization of Islam?: Sinicization of Islam also means the process of including non-Chinese societies and groups into Chinese culture. But in this the emphasis remains on assimilating Islam into China's culture, ideology and ethnic rules.

In fact, China feels that the Muslim society of Xinjiang is not loyal to them at all. For this reason, China constantly starts doubting their honesty. This was the reason why many mosques were destroyed in Xinjiang. China has built many big camps to imprison Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang. Muslims of Xinjiang are also exploited in these camps.

Atrocities against Uyghur Muslims in China: Reports say that China has been accused of harassing and torturing Uyghur Muslims. Human rights groups say that China has forcibly detained 1 million Uyghur Muslims in the last few years. Reports say that China has also banned the worship of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang. Along with this, he is also destroying their mosques.

In August last year, a report by UN Rights Chief Michelle Bachelet was released, in which she also expressed concern over the situation of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, China. Reports say that the persecution being carried out by the Chinese government may amount to a crime against humanity. The report mentioned many things including forced detention of Uyghur Muslims, rape, torture, forced labour. China is accused of forcibly sterilizing Uyghur women and keeping Uyghur children separated from their families.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had also said last year that China is not committing genocide of Uyghur Muslims but of humanity. In April 2021, the case of China's atrocities against Uyghur Muslims was also raised in the British Parliament. In 2018, the United Nations Human Rights Committee said that they had solid reports that China was imprisoning one lakh Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang.

Who are Uyghurs : Uyghurs are minority Muslims of the Central Asian region, who also speak a language similar to Turkish. The largest population of Uyghur Muslims lives in the Xinjiang region of China. About 12 million Uyghur Muslims live in Xinjiang. Along with this, there are many other persecuted Muslims in China, including Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Tajiks and Kirghis.
