Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and former cricketer Ashok Dinda has been given Y Plus security from the Moyna Assembly seat in West Bengal. Now CRPF jawans will always be present with them. Just yesterday, cricketer-turned-politician Ashok Dinda alleged that his car was attacked. This attack was done while he was campaigning.

It is alleged that Ashok Dinda's car was vandalized during the election campaign. Dinda suffered a minor injury. Dinda has also posted a video and photo on Twitter regarding the attack. BJP candidate Ashok Dinda alleges that his car and he were attacked with bricks. Ashok Dinda tweeted that the people of Trinamool attacked me near the BDO office at 4 pm today. The manager of Dinda told that this incident happened in front of Moyna Bazaar when we were returning from the roadshow. There, Shahjahan Ali, a local goon of the TMC, along with about a hundred other people, attacked him with sticks, bars, and bricks.

However, TMC denied the allegations, saying the attack was a result of infighting in the BJP. TMC district president Akhil Giri said that the old people of BJP are not able to accept Dinda as a candidate from the party, so they attacked him. The Trinamool Congress has nothing to do with this incident.
