New Delhi: Five new motorcycles from the Japanese automaker Yamaha have been introduced in India. The FZ-X, MT-15, FZS, FZS-FI V4 Deluxe, and R15M are among them. All of the bikes are compliant with the OBD-2 standards that go into effect on March 31 and are available with new features and color options. The two-wheelers' mechanicals, however, have not changed.
With a market share of about 3.6%, Yamaha is one of the most popular motorcycle brands in India. The brand increased the price of its vehicles as well as added new features as part of the 2023 update. This increase ranges from 1,000 to 4,000 rupees. It remains to be seen if it will have any impact on sales.
The Yamaha FZS-FI V4 Deluxe features a single-piece seat, an LCD instrument cluster, LED turn indicators, and a powerful fuel tank with extensions. It is available in Majestic Red, Metallic Gray, and Metallic Black.

The motorcycle is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine producing 12.2 horsepower and 13.3 Newton meters of torque. Both wheels have disc brakes, ABS, and traction control for the rider's safety.
The Yamaha R15M features a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity, a clip-on handlebar, split seats, a windshield, and LED turn indicators.
It has a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 18.1 hp and 14.2 Nm of torque and a six-speed transmission. Dual-channel ABS for better handling and disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels guarantee the rider's safety.

Additionally, Yamaha has updated its FZ-X, MT-15, and FZS motorcycles in India. Now all three are equipped with traction control systems and LED turn indicators for safety. Additionally, the FZS gains Bluetooth connectivity, while the new MT-15 has dual-channel ABS. New colors of Metallic Black and Dark Matte Blue are now available for the MT-15 and FZ-X, respectively.

The Yamaha FZS models cost Rs. 1.27 lakh in India, the FZ-X costs Rs. 1.37 lakh, and the brand-new MT-15 costs Rs. 1.68 lakh. The R15M is priced at Rs. 1.94 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
