Aside from the new limited-edition YZF-R3, Yamaha has also unveiled the new YZF-R125, which comes in a unique World GP 60th Anniversary livery. The new R125, like the R3, was launched to honour the brand's win at the Belgian Grand Prix in 1964. For the record, Yamaha has previously used the same livery on a range of its other motorcycles. In the past, the larger capacity YZF-R1 was also endowed with the same.

The white body of the new special edition YZF-R125 is accented by bold red racing red graphics on the side body and top of the fuel tank. The front fender is also painted red, as is the tail, which has red accents as well. The bike's look is quite athletic thanks to the white and red colour scheme. The special edition sportbike's wheels have a golden/bronze finish, which is complemented by the yellow stripe on the bike's forehead.

The rest of the design features are identical to the regular R125 marketed in international countries, with the exception of a unique colour theme. It's also worth noting that the sports bike's external appearance appears to be quite similar to the YZF-R15 model marketed in India.

The R125 is powered by a smaller 125cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.5 bhp and 11.5Nm of torque. A six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch is one of the transmission choices. On both ends, the bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. It's mounted on 41mm inverted forks at the front, with a mono-shock in the back. The bike has a 292mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc braking. Unfortunately, there are no plans to bring the bike to India anytime soon. It competes with bikes like the KTM RC125 on a worldwide platform.
