Yash Johar, the father of famous Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar and popular producer of Hindi films, was born in Lahore on September 6, 1929. Today is Yash Johar's 92nd birthday. Yash was born in Lahore. Yash Johar's father opened a sweet shop in Delhi. His father had given him the responsibility of sitting at the shop. He used to watch all the accounts at the shop. Yash, however, did not like it at all.

Then, Yash's mother helped him a lot and sent him to Mumbai. His mother had sold all her jewelry to send him. He also had to struggle a lot by going to Mumbai. He tried to become a photographer of the paper there. Yash was married to popular filmmaker BR Chopra and Yash Chopra's sister Hiroo Johar. Karan Johar, the son of the two, is a popular filmmaker today. Yash passed away at the age of 74 due to a chest infection and cancer.

The same Yash started his Bollywood career in 1952 with Sunil Dutt's production house Ajanta Arts. Yash has produced films like Dostana (1980), Duniya (1984), Muqaddar Ka Faisla (1987), Agneepath (1990), Gumrah (1993), Duplicate (1998), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Kal Ho Na Ho (2003). Yash Johar believed a lot in the puja lessons. He built a small temple in the house and prayed for about 3 minutes in the morning. The special thing is that this impression is seen in his films.
