Bangalore: The cabinet expansion is scheduled in Karnataka on Thursday. The Yeddyurappa cabinet will include 10 new ministers. Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa on Wednesday said that ten MLAs leaving the Congress and JD (S) to join BJP and win the assembly by-election on a party ticket will be sworn in as ministers of cabinet expansion on Thursday. At present, there are 18 ministers in the state council of ministers including the CM.

CM Yeddyurappa said that after discussions with the party president and other leaders in Delhi, ten MLAs have been decided to be made ministers on Thursday. CM Yeddyurappa has said that out of the 11 leaders who left the Congress-JD (S), only Athani assembly seat MLA Mahesh Kumathalli will not be included in the cabinet. Yeddyurappa had said on Sunday that on February 6, 'ten and three' MLA ministers will take the oath. CM Yeddyurappa clarified that the oath-taking ceremony will be held at Raj Bhavan at 10.30 am on Thursday.
