Karan Mehra, who won the hearts of millions of fans with his irreplaceable and impeccable portrayal as the lead face - Naitik since 7 years in Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is all set to feature in Shrenu Parikh and Zain Imam's thriller series Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna, that airs on Star Plus and streams on Hotstar. Yes, you read that right! The actor, who went on a short break after the debacle of his last show as his wife, Nisha Rawal, delivered their first baby (boy), will make his TV comeback with Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna. According to reports, Karan will play the role of Shrenu Parikh's father in the show, which was launched last week.
Talking about his role in the show, the actor, who will seen playing father to two girls in Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna, told Times Of India, "There is a backstory to the plot and I appear in flashbacks. I will be required to shoot for two days in a month and I like that arrangement. Two days a month won’t hurt." Speaking of the failure of Khatmal-E-Ishq… Do Phool Ek Maa, Karan said, "The show met with a premature ending because the channel was undergoing a transition. It should have run for a while to generate the expected ratings. In fact, my theatre debut was with a comedy, and I have received a standing ovation for my performance. People are taken aback to see that I have a comic side, too."
Talking about the show, Shrenu Parikh is all set to challenge the idealistic image of an Indian bahu with Star Plus' much-awaited show Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna. Yes, after wooing her audience in Ishqbaaaz as Gauri Singh Oberoi, Shrenu is all set to rule the TV screens again with Star Plus' upcoming show, where she will be seen playing a quintessential daughter-in-law. Just like her previous progressive show, this one is an unusual and an unconventional family drama.
