Yogendra Yadav's absence from AAP a wise decision

During AAP's election campaign, one of the important spokesperson was Yogendra Yadav who along with another prominent member Prashant Bhushan were removed from the party. Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhusan's led Swaraj Abhiyan filed a petition which resulted in the court thundering at Central government not to make lack of funds an excuse for not providing mid-day meal during summers. The judgement was called historic as the court directed the Central government to include egg or milk to the menu, to ensure universalisation of food grain rations, adequate and timely release of MNREGA funds, implementation of crop-loss compensation, agricultural loan restructuring and provision for cattle fodder.

As Yogendra and Bhushan imposed allegations on AAP leader, they were thrown out and launched Swaraj Abhiyan to achieve swaraj in all aspects of life - political, economical, social and cultural. They aim to take up diffeent issues and fight for matters which are worthwhile. They took up corruption which was the founding stone of AAP when they managed to make Chhatisgarh revelations in the AgustaWestland scam. Something to which they have devoted everything is the issue of drought. Yogendra Yadav in a lecture on "droughts in Maharashtra" also said that he had suggested government with measures to solve water crisis but was ignored.

Yadav has written several news articles, given numerous interviews and held press conferences on issues facing the country. He also launched the Jai Kisan Andolan to provide rural people with a voice. Although in a democratic system, political parties play huge importance to bring change, yet Yadav's voluntary actions have let him bring some important changes in the Indian democracy. For him, electoral competition is something because of which political parties cannot come together for social movements.

Also, Swaraj Abhiyan which is not an NGO, nor a think-tank brings us to the question that till how much time will it continue to function without being a political party. Yadav, who is a professor of political science knows that compromise is important in legislation. Entering politics is important to bring some change in the democracy. All in all, the removal of these two from AAP is a wise decision as otherwise these leaders would have been busy in worthless politics of elections. Atleast out from the party they are doing something that is actually helping the general public.
