Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh's Yogi Adityanath government is considering renaming the Yamuna Expressway. According to sources, from now on the Yamuna Expressway can be named after former Indian PM Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It is said to be announced during the inauguration of Jewar airport.

PM Narendra Modi is arriving in Jewar on November 25. He will lay the foundation stone of the country's largest airport there and address a big rally. It is now being said that the new name of the Yamuna Expressway can also be announced by PM Narendra Modi during that rally. The Yamuna Expressway will be renamed as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Expressway.

A veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader has also confirmed the news. He says the decision is being taken to give due respect to India's greatest and most popular leader.
