New Delhi: Deepotsav has been organized continuously in Uttar Pradesh since 2017. The event is organized on a grand scale in Ram Nagari Ayodhya and lakhs of Diyas are lighted every year to break their own records. This time again the Deepotsav programme is being prepared in a big way and this time too the old record is being said to be broken.

According to reports, this year the Yogi government is going to light 7.50 lakh lamps on Deepotsav. Tell you that the Yogi government set the Guinness Book of World Records by lighting 5.50 lakh Diyas last year. But now the same record is set to be broken again. This time the Deepotsav programme has been entrusted to the external agency. Suggestions are also currently being sought from all agencies by the Tourism Department. The government is considering every proposal to make the event grander.

More than 7000 volunteers are said to be appointed by the government this year. Under the supervision of these volunteers, a record of 7.50 lakh Diyas will be set on Deepotsav. On the other hand, these volunteers will have to be in constant touch with the Guinness book of world record officials. However, on the occasion of Deepotsav, not only is the burning of Diyas a part of the programme, but the entire Ayodhya is also heavily lit on that day. Every year Ayodhya is decorated like a bride and a fair of devotees is also endured on a large scale.
