Lucknow:  The BJP in Uttar Pradesh will set up a 'aspiration box' to solicit public input on problems that would be included in the party's manifesto, which will be presented ahead of the next elections in the state.

This is an attempt to build public trust, and it will be part of the party's state-wide campaign, 'UP No. 1 Suggestion Aapka, Sankalp Hamara,' which will be launched on December 15 by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The box would go through all 403 Assembly constituencies, according to Sankalp Patra Committee chairman and Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna.

"The BJP government has accomplished numerous historic feats in raising the standard of living of the people of the state, something the previous state government failed to accomplish," Khanna remarked. He said, the BJP also developed the Sankalp Patra in 2017 based on public suggestions. "On the basis of the pledges made in Sankalp Patra, we proceeded to the polls. We have kept all of our pledges "Khanna added.

He went on to say that the party would reach out to constituents in all Assembly seats and consider proposals from all walks of life. "People's suggestions will also be gathered through conversation with members of the Sankalp Patra Committee as well as diverse social and business sectors in all of the state's major metro cities. Suggestions will be accepted via websites, e-mail, and missed calls as well. "
