Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Assembly's three-day winter session, which will be the final before the 2022 elections, will begin on Wednesday, December 15.

The state administration is expected to pass vote-on accounts for the first four months of the next fiscal year 2022-23 during the session. According to official sources, the administration will also introduce the Finance Bill for the second supplementary budget for the fiscal year 2021-22.

The second supplementary bill is being introduced to fund the government's budgeted expenditures for the remainder of the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2022.

The additional budget will cover a number of populist projects that the administration is expected to propose during the session, as well as the construction of the Ganga Expressway.
