Lucknow: The largest province of the country in terms of population, Uttar Pradesh is continuously moving ahead by beating the corona epidemic. 17 districts of the state have become corona free. At the same time, on August 18, 2021, 35 new cases of covid-19 were registered in the state, while not a single new case of corona has been reported in 53 out of 75 districts. So far more than 6 crore people have been vaccinated in the state.

Giving information, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said that the state has investigated 6.97 crore corona cases so far. As per the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, more than 6.14 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the state. Of these, 5.18 crore people have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while about 96 lakh people have received both the doses.

Prasad further said, 'Till Wednesday (18 August 2021) there were 419 active cases in the state. On Wednesday, 35 new cases were reported, while 34 patients recovered. Information about the death of one person also came to light in the state, who was a resident of Meerut.' At the same time, 16,85,819 people have recovered from Corona in the state so far.
