USA: Most of us have used at least one of Google's offerings. Most of us have also questioned how much information the tech giant has about us.

Businesses have a reputation for monitoring us and collecting a lot of data. So, how can we find out what information Google has about us? Takeout is Google's proprietary solution to this problem.

A Google Data Liberation Front internal team created a tool known as Google Takeout. Create collections of your contacts and images using the tool, among other things.

However, the main application of Takeout is to find out what information Google is holding about you. You can download Google's data using Google Takeout.

Organizations or businesses often use Google Takeout. However, this does not apply only to large organizations. Given the variety of services and goods the business offers, you are sure to find something of your own.

Depending on the size of the zip file, you may or may not need to worry about how you manage your data at this point.

Google Takeout has other goals than just telling us what Google knows about us. It can also assist with data migration, if you choose to switch to the Google option. Forget leaving Google behind.

Let's look at the information Google now has about you. You can choose to export data from 49 different sources, which are listed on the Takeout homepage (https://takeout.google.com).

This includes, among other things, location history, log activity, and cloud search, as well as information from well-known products like Gmail, Drive, Photos, Pay, and YouTube.

You must be logged in to your Google Account to use Google Takeout. No wonder. Select the data you want to export now.

You can choose the file type, size and frequency of your data backup in the following steps. Then press "Create Export". You can unzip the data after the file is created.

There are a few things to keep in mind before downloading the data. You will have the option of changing the format of some types of data. For example, you can export Google Docs data as DOCX or PDF. Similarly, if you are employed by an organization and want to use Takeout, you may want to speak to the workspace administrator.
