Nawazuddin shared information about working in a Telugu movie on his social media accounts on 28 January 2023. He wrote, "I am all set to make my debut in Telugu cinema with the film Saindhav starring Venkatesh, Rana Daggubati, and Naga Chaitanya." Along with this, he also shared some photos. In one of them, he is seen standing with folded hands in front of the picture of Hanuman ji.

Another Instagram user wrote, "Yeh Lo Kar Di Na Shirik?" Fundamentalists call it non-Islamic. At the same time, many other hardcore Islamists are also using abusive words for Nawazuddin. They anointed him a lot in the name of Muslims for bowing before a Hindu god.

Reports say that Sandhav Movie is a pan-Indian action drama produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under the banner Niharika Entertainment. Santosh Narayanan is composing music for the movie.
