Jaipur: The death toll in police custody at Lohawat police station in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan has come to light. Jodhpur is the home district of state CM Ashok Gehlot. After the case came to light, the controversy has also started and the controversy has escalated. After the death in police custody, people have also come on the streets and are demanding to register a case of murder against the guilty policemen.

Raju Nayak, a co-accused in the rape and kidnapping case, died in police custody last week in the Lohawat police station area of Jodhpur. Raju Nayak was a resident of Ganganagar district. His body has been lying in the mortuary of Mathuradas Mathur Hospital for the past 7 days. Since the family has not yet agreed to the postmortem, the postmortem of the body could not be conducted.

Raju Nayak's family has accused the police of killing him. They met Deputy Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Rajendra Rathore and demanded justice. The family members demanded to suspend the erring policemen including sub-inspector Kesaram and book them for murder. It has also demanded government jobs and financial assistance to a family member.
