From this month, YouTube is going to fund 100 million YouTube shorts in some selected countries. It will be distributed among creators whose video will go viral the most. Every month YouTube will select thousands of eligible creators and then pay them out of funds. With this, the company wants to take its short-form video meaning YouTube shorts to every place. If creators match each criterion, they can earn between $100 and $10,000 with the help of viewership and engagement. Also, because of this, their video should be 60 seconds long.
The 100 million YouTube Shorts Fund will be disbursed between this year and 2022. YouTube says it will notify creators who qualify for bonus payments from shorts funds in the second week of each month in the YouTube app. They can then claim a bonus on the 25th of the month. If they do not succeed in doing so, their bonus will expire.
The same Alphabet/Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced last week that YouTube shorts were introduced on global rover after the first rollout in the US and other countries, based on the huge popularity of Bytdance's Tiktok app. Google says YouTube shorts have quickly hit the world: the feature now generates more than 15 billion global daily views from 6 in March. It was above 5 billion.
