Vijayawada: Recently, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held talks last Friday. During this conversation, he said that "his government is committed to the welfare of the scheduled castes and tribes and the highest amount has been allocated for these two sections for the financial year 2020-21".

Apart from this, he asked the officials to complete the construction of Ambedkar Park before 14 April 2021 in Vijayawada and he gave instructions to them in this regard. All these things happened in the meeting of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Development Board held on Friday. During this, the CM spoke while addressing the meeting. In his conversation, he said, 'In the financial year 2020-21, Rs 15,735 crore has been allocated for the welfare of the Scheduled Castes and Rs 5,177 crore for the welfare of the Tribes'.

Apart from this, he also said that 'YSR Cheyutha and YSR Asra Welfare Schemes launched this year will provide more benefits to weaker sections.' Other things also happened during the meeting. Before this, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had said that 'The foundation stone of 125 feet high statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar will be installed in the Swarajya Maidan in Vijayawada'.
