Vijayawada: In what could be one of the longest affidavits filed, YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has declared assets worth Rs 375 crore in his election affidavit, whereas his wife has declared assets worth over Rs 124 crore. Their two daughters have assets worth Rs 6.5 crore and Rs 4.6 crore, taking the family’s total assets to Rs 510 crore.

He declared his assets on Friday while filing nomination for Pulivendula Assembly constituency in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. According to the affidavit, Mr. Reddy has been named in 31 criminal cases that are serious in nature, a majority of them alleging financial fraud. In 2014, while filing nomination from the same constituency, Jagan had declared total assets of Rs 343 crore. There is an increase in his assets from the last election filing, of Rs 31.19 crore. Assets owned by his wife Bharathi Reddy have increased by Rs 124.12 crore. Mr. Reddy had investments worth Rs 317.34 crore in several companies and in mutual funds.

According to the affidavit Jagan submitted on Friday, he owns worth Rs 339.89 crore of moveable assets. Jagan, son of former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, also mentioned that he owns no vehicle. He submitted in the affidavit that the four bulletproof vehicles were owned by others but registered in his name. Mr. Reddy owns agriculture, non-agriculture, commercial and residential land valued at Rs 35,30,76,375 and Ms. Bharathi owns land worth Rs 31,59,02,925.
