Mangalagiri: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh asked the chief minister and the DGP whether they would serve notices to top police officers of other states for referring to AP as a source of drugs. Those officers were telling the country about the Andhra ganja gangs caught in a press conference. Will AP Police call those officers for questioning? He said that within two and a half years, the YSRCP regime has turned AP into the 'drug hub of India'.

Lokesh regretted that the police of other states were giving proof of this. Even then, Jagan Mohan Reddy and the DGP were saying that Andhra had nothing to do with drugs. Lokesh released videos from different states. In a video, Bangalore Police Commissioner Kamal Pant said that the drugs were brought from a district in AP. The gangsters hid the drugs in a tanker and supplied them to Bengaluru and surrounding areas. Even Delhi DCP Santosh Kumar Meena said that the drugs seized by him had come from Andhra. Seeking an explanation from the AP Police, Lokesh said that ganja grown in AP was being smuggled into Pune and Mumbai.

In another video, Naglonda SP Ranganath said that the Andhra Orissa Border (AOB) was the source of cultivation and transportation of ganja to various destinations in the country. This included Andhra leaders, financiers, producers and brokers. As a hub, thousands of crores of ganja trade was going on from AP. Lokesh recalled how Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar also mentioned a major drug smuggling route between Narsipatnam, AP and Ahmednagar in Maharashtra via Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Gulbarga and Solapur. Police officials in Madhya Pradesh and Kerala have also referred to AP as the source of the drugs seized by them.
