New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh, a former all-rounder who was the hero of the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 and then won the ICC World Cup in 2011, is 39 on Saturday. However, this time Yuvraj is not celebrating his birthday. He has also revealed the reasons for not celebrating his birthday.
Yuvraj wrote a special message for his fans on Twitter on his birthday. "Birthdays are an opportunity to fulfil a wish or desire and this birthday, rather than celebrating, I only wish and pray for a swift resolution of the ongoing talks between our farmers and our government," he tweeted, "There is no doubt that farmers are India's lifeline and I believe there is no problem that cannot be solved by peaceful dialogue."
Yuvraj also wrote a message separating himself from his father Yograj Singh's controversial statement that his father had given during protests this week. The Crown prince said, "I am the son of this great country and there is nothing more proud of me. I want to clarify that the statement made by my father is his personal opinion and I do not agree with his views."
