NEW DELHI: The controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik is facing tough legal action in Malaysia for making objectionable statements. Zakir Naik has serious charges relating to terrorism and money laundering in India. Indian agencies have already approached Interpol to arrest Zakir Naik.
Zakir Naik is included in the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) 'Most Wanted' list over his alleged role in the Terror funding case. Zakir Naik's controversial TV network 'Peace TV' is legally banned in India. Even then, Naik is using loopholes in the Indian legal system to bring the content of his TV network to millions of people in India.
Naik launched a mobile application in May last year. Through this, the content of Peace TV is broadcast live in four languages. This free app has over a million downloads on the Google Play Store. Its only feature is '24 Hour Islamic TV Channel Broadcast'. Through this app, Naik's TV channel is being broadcast 24x7 hours across India without interruption. But Indian agencies have failed to rein in it.
