Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan and directed by Laxman Utekar, finished its advance bookings on a high note, selling approximately 22,000 seats across three national chains. It appeared that it would struggle to get advances, but it ended up gathering a considerable amount that would keep box office enthusiasts fascinated. The buy one get one deal on online tickets assisted early bookings, and it remains to be seen how the tickets move on the day of the event. If everything work well, the first day earning might be in around of Rs 4 crores, if not more.

Hatke, Zara Zara Bachke marks the comeback of super-hit filmmaker Laxman Utekar following Luka Chuppi, but box office dynamics have changed since the Covid-19 pandemic, when audiences joyfully tuned out for mid-sized rom-com dramas. The trade had low hopes for Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, but the momentum on the day before the release has given some reason for confidence. If the reports are correct, it may make a brief appearance in Indian theaters. Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal are returning to theaters following a string of digital-only productions. It's not a good sign because their audiences are used to seeing them from the comfort of their own homes and at lower rates.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke will have no local competition for two weeks, till Adipurush is released. It will, however, compete with the animated Spider-Man film Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. Most industry insiders anticipate that the Spider-Man picture will be the most popular at the Indian movie office this week, but no one can be certain until it happens.
