KIEV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has created a delegation to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the creation and adoption of a draught 'Treaty on Ukraine's Security Guarantees.'

MP David Arakhamia, who also leads the Ukrainian side in the peace talks with Russia, was designated leader of the delegation by a presidential decree signed on Monday, reports Ukrayinska Pravda.

Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska, Senior Presidential Advisor Mykhailo Podolyak, Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mykola Tochytsky are among the delegation's other members.

According to the decree, Arakhamia has the authority to change the composition of the delegation with the approval of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as to engage employees of government agencies, enterprises, institutions, and organisations in the work with the approval of their superiors, scientific advisers, and experts.  "The decree also adopts the Ukrainian delegation's directives on participation in negotiations with Russia over the preparation and adoption of the draught Treaty on Ukraine's Security Guarantees." The content of these orders, however, is not made public.

Another round of peace discussions between the Ukrainian and Russian teams took place in Istanbul on March 29, during which Kiev made its own suggestions, Ukrayinska Pravda said.
