Today is the death anniversary of Bollywood's famous grandmother Zohra Sehgal who played an old grandmother in Karan Johar's 'Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gum.' Most of the new generation may know her in the same way, after all, she was Bollywood's most favorite grandmother. When beautiful faces are preferred in Bollywood, Zohra, impressed by it, made a special mark of herself and enthralled everyone with her personality.

The same Zohra Sehgal once said in an interview, 'The ass also looks beautiful on a moonlit night.' You should have seen me when I was young and ugly. People were obsessed with his witty style and vivacity. Zohra Sehgal was born in 1912 to an elite Muslim family in Saharanpur, UP. He was sent to Queen Mary College in Lahore to pursue higher education.

In 1935, Sehgal joined Uday Shankar's dance troupe in Japan. He was never selected as a lead dancer because he looked different, but he absorbed dance deeply. In an interview, Sehgal said, 'I never got the lead characters because I was not beautiful, but I struggled there. According to media reports, in Zohra's book 'Zohra Sehgal: Fatty', Sehgal's daughter Kiran Sehgal said, 'Sehgal was jealous of her sister's popularity and charm. Because of this frustration, Zohra Sehgal tried her best to look attractive and get attention.'
