There is a trend to boycott Zomato on Twitter about online food delivery company Zomato. Yes and now amidst all this, Zomato has apologized. Yes and at the same time, the company has also issued a clarification on this. In fact, in the advertisement, actor Hrithik Roshan orders Mahakal thali, about which the people of Hindu Janajagruti Manch had called for a boycott of Zomato. In that advertisement, Hrithik says, "I wanted to eat thali, ordered from Mahakal. The Hindu Janajagruti Manch objected to this and said, "Mahakal is not a servant who delivers food, he is a God who is worshipped. Can Zomato insult the God of another religion in the same way?''

Let us also tell you that the followers of Hinduism also call Lord Shiva Mahakal. However, Zomato has issued its clarification after this controversy. In fact, the company said ''The advertisement mentions the plate of Mahakal restaurant and not Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple. We respect the sentiments of the people of Ujjain. This ad has been discontinued. Our intention was not to hurt anyone's sentiments and we apologise for that.''

Mahakaleshwar Temple located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. In the past, boycotts against Zomato started after two priests of the Mahakaleshwar temple raised the issue. In fact, both the priests had demanded the immediate removal of this advertisement. In this case, the priests said that their prasad is given free of cost to the devotees on a plate and it is not a plate ordered from a food delivery app.
