In the press conference today, the Election Commissioner Chief Nasim Zaidi has announced the dates of assembly elections that are going to held in five states.

The main highlights of the announcement are...

1. Here is the declared date in Goa: 18 March, 2017; Manipur: 18 March, 2017; Punjab: 18 March, 2017; Uttarakhand: 26 March, 2017; UP: 27 May, 2017 the elections will held.
2. Around 16 crores voters will give the vote and 1,85,000 polling stations are covered.
3. The places where females don't mingle with males, seperate voting stations will be established.
4. In every state, electronic voting machine will be used. 
5. All the Ballot papers on EVM will have the photograph of candidate.
