You could try out some of the activities that could keep your kids involved and busy.

Drawing

Give your kid blank piece of papers, and some colors. Ask him to draw and color anything we wants to and let his imagination go wild.

Painting

Painting is a great activity to experiment. Get him some good paints and a brush and let him mess up and enjoy. Some ways of painting could be thread painting, blow painting or floor painting.

#thread painting: cut a piece of thread dip it in different colors, take a piece of blank paper and fold it into half. Place the thread in between the fold and close the paper with a small piece of thread hanging out. Place the paper inside a hard book, and pull at the hanging thread. Open the paper and see what a beautiful design it has created.

#blow painting: With a paint brush place thick drops of paint on a paper. Now, place a straw close to the drops and blow at it. It will splatter around the paper and create beautiful designs. You could try out blowing out into a flower or branches.

Printing

You can print with vegetables like potatoes, onions and lady finger. Cut the vegetables, dip it into paint and give the child to print the design on the paper. You can also print with leaves, flowers, cotton, wool and cloth.

Clay

Playing around with clay improves fine motor development in a kid. Give him small balls of clay and ask him to make different objects like a man, bat or a ball.

Paper Tearing/Crumbling

Draw a design on a paper and give the child different craft papers to tear or crumble and stick on the design. Giving your child to do such activities keeps him busy and also makes him creative!
