The next FIFA Football under-17 world cup will be held in GOA. This is the freshest and most exciting news for the people who love football. A 13 member team of FIFA officials along with the Local Organising Committee today inspected the readiness of the grounds of the state and gave it a final green light for the next big tournament.

India has previously also hosted this international tournament in the cities like Kochi and Navi Mumbai.

 "Goa hosted the AFC U-16 Championship, which helped it get into very high infrastructure compliance levels and gives us enough confidence to ratify it as a venue for the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017. 

"Now it is the moment to start focusing on all operational aspects to ensure a flawless delivery of the Event,” said the tournament director Javier Ceppi.
