The prime minister Narendra Modi today on the day of Gudi Padwa by tweeting on twitter has wished the people of the country.

PM Modi tweeted "People across India are celebrating the start of the new year. New year greetings to everyone. May the year bring peace, joy & prosperity,"

"On the auspicious occasion of Navreh, my greetings to everyone celebrating. May the year ahead be characterized by positivity & good health. Ugadi greetings to all those celebrating. May the coming year fulfill all your wishes & may there be happiness all around," in another tweet he wrote.

On the occasion of Sajibu Cheiraoba, he tweeted "Sajibu Cheiraoba wishes to my sisters & brothers in Manipur. Have a cheerful & harmonious year ahead. Cheti Chand greetings to the Sindhi community. May Lord Jhulelal bless us and the year ahead be a happy as well as memorable one,"
