The hat-trick scored by the performer Cristiano Ronaldo took the Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals. In the quarter-final, second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu the Real Madrid defeated 10-man Bayern Munich 4-2 after extra time.
Ronaldo scored the equaliser in the 76th minute before Bayern responded just 36 seconds later as Sergio Ramos' own goal forced extra time.
Ronaldo then scored the third, which was his 100th Champions League goal from what was clearly an offside position and Marco Asensio added a fourth to seal the win for the holders.
